Plain-English version of how this works. If something here is unclear, write to us.
1. Who is responsible
Pixel Assets Lab is operated by Cabrouet Jean Gassendi, 3247 Shady Willow Dr, Orlando, FL 32808, USA. For this policy, that’s the “controller” of your data. Email: admin@pixelassetslab.com.
2. What we collect, and why
| What | Why | Basis (EU/UK) |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, billing country, tax ID if you add one, order details, licence tier | To process and deliver your order, send receipts and handle tax | Contract |
| Payment confirmation, card brand and last four digits (from Stripe) | To confirm payment and handle refunds. Card numbers go to Stripe, not us. | Contract |
| Download-link records and download logs (IP address, time, browser type) | To deliver files, stop abuse and answer “my link doesn’t work” | Legitimate interests |
| The record of your consent to immediate delivery (text shown, time, IP address, browser type, country) | To prove we followed the digital-content rules | Legal obligation / legitimate interests |
| What you write in the contact form (name, email, message, optional order number) | To reply to you | Legitimate interests / contract |
| Email and order number typed into the resend form | To send you fresh download links | Contract |
| Withdrawal-form entries | To handle your withdrawal | Legal obligation / contract |
| Server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) | Security and fixing errors | Legitimate interests |
The free pack download needs no email and no account. We don’t collect anything about it beyond ordinary server logs.
Giving us the data for an order is needed for the contract. Without it we can’t deliver your files.
3. What we don’t do
We don’t sell or share your personal information. There’s no behavioural advertising, no advertising pixels and no analytics tracking on this site.
4. Who gets your data
- Stripe, to take payment, calculate tax and screen for fraud.
- Our hosting provider and our email provider, who store the data and send our emails on our behalf.
- Tax and accounting advisers, where needed for our records.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
5. Transfers outside your country
We’re in the United States, and so are the services above. If you’re in the EU, UK or elsewhere, your data goes to the US. Where a provider uses it, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. For orders, the transfer is also needed to carry out the contract you asked for.
6. How long we keep it
- Order and tax records: 7 years.
- Download logs: 24 months.
- Contact messages: 24 months after our last reply.
- Withdrawal and consent records: as long as the matching order record.
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
We delete or anonymise data when its time is up.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for corrections or deletion, and tell us you object to something. If you’re in the EU or UK you also have the rights of restriction and portability and the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Email admin@pixelassetslab.com. We’ll check it’s you, usually by matching the email on your order, and reply within 30 days (45 at the latest for California-style requests). We may keep what the law requires us to keep, such as tax records.
8. United States
- California. We currently believe we do not meet the thresholds that make the California Consumer Privacy Act apply to us. We do not sell or share personal information. If you are a California resident and want to ask what we hold about you, or have it corrected or deleted, email admin@pixelassetslab.com and we will help.
- Do Not Track. Our site does not use trackers that respond to Do Not Track signals, because we do not track you across sites.
- Florida. Florida’s Digital Bill of Rights currently applies to much larger companies than ours. We still handle access, correction and deletion requests from anyone.
- Other states. Privacy laws in other US states may give you similar rights. We will respond to reasonable requests regardless of where you live.
9. Children
The shop is for adults. It isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think we have some, tell us and we’ll delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable safeguards: payment on Stripe’s own page, download files stored away from the public website, and signed, expiring links. No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee it.
11. Cookies and storage
See Cookies.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
